100 WC Week 1 - Christmas Shopping

Dizzy as clouds, his senses were swimming. A confused mass of impressions enveloped him; bawling babies and blinking lights, cruel faces and canned music. He was shuffling closer, inching gradually towards release. Then mercifully his time arrived! A cold-faced teen flung the gifts into a tawdry plastic bag, and after an exchange of pounds and pence (but not smiles or glances) he was released. He hurried outside to his waiting vehicle and then the noise stopped. The car soothed him with her soft rumble. He vowed always to remember the perks of Christmas shopping in November.
