100 WC Week 1 - Furry Friend

Howling like a wolf; yelping like an injured footballer: the noise had been going on for hours. Several minutes of silence, then it started over again! The children had been warned to ignore it. The sound poked its long, sharp fingers deep into the children’s ears. It sounded like it was in pain.

It was no good, the children had to help it. They carefully crept down the stairs, avoiding the last step, which always creaked. They did not want to be stopped on their mission to get to it.

And then…..the noise stopped! The tiny puppy with huge saucers for eyes had spotted them.
