100 WC Week 2 - Fireworks
And then the sky grew darker. The excited children huddled around the warm, embracing bonfire. The blaze was burning with ever increasing momentum as the field grew busier with families gathering for the annual town display. The adults were bracing the cold wind: coats fastened; hats on; rubbing their arms to muster some warmth. WHOOSH! BANG! SIZZLE! The fireworks set to work: illuminating the sky; assaulting their ears; entertaining their eyes. “This is just magical!” one child exclaimed to their parent. The show of bright colours, sparkling lights and screeching sounds was relentless. The local people of the town had really surpassed themselves this year.
