100 WC Week 2: The Storm
I watched from my window in horror as the weather unleashed its anger: wind howling; leaves whirling; gates banging and then the sky grew darker. Then, just like magic, the lights came on as darkness started to fall, people being hurried on their way by gusts of wind pushing and tugging them here and there. In the distance bright blue flashes lit up the sky showing shadows of trees and houses. A sudden rumble then a crash, the thunder had arrived bringing with it torrential rain cascading from the roofs. Following a few minutes of anger, peace and tranquility was restored. So I returned to my sleep.
